Can I modify my muffler tip?
My car is lowered, and you can’t see anything but the wheels which is cool. You can also see the muffler tip slightly though, and it’s an ugly copper colored stock exhaust. I want to either bend it behind the bumper or cut it back to conceal it. Is there any legality issues with this in California? How can I bend it? I could probably cut it back easily with a hack saw if bending it isn’t possible. Is this a bad idea? It would look 10x cleaner with no visible exhaust tip.

just modifying the tip wont get you in trouble, only if you start messing with the catylitic converter

Easy job. Use a 4 1/2 right angle grinder with a regular grinding wheel and it’ll zip it off or any shape you want.
